Never enter the club without a top hat

Also known as a Vintage styled platform game, The Top Hat Club is a premium remake of the monochrome platforming title for browsers. Developed by David Durham, this new iteration now boasts widescreen support, new levels in addition to the original 25 levels, better graphics, and new controls.

With gamers playing as a cute tooth-shaped protagonist in The Top Hat Club, their goal is to find and don a top hat to enter the titular exclusive club. However, this will not be an easy task as players have to jump on platforms and avoid obstacles with speed and precision.

Tests your timing and problem-solving skills

The Top Hat Club game boasts easy-to-learn controls. When the left screen is touched, a joystick will appear—allowing you to move the protagonist in different directions. On the right screen, you’ll see a button for putting and dropping the top hat. This is depicted with a tiny up arrow on top of a square. Beside this button is the jump button, which is shown with a big arrow.

Each level contains collectible coins and a top hat. As levels become increasingly more complex, players will have to carefully plan how they will complete a level. Apart from jumping on standard platforming blocks, you’ll also have to hop on crumbling blocks and avoid falling into the water. Unfortunately—if you or your top hat end up in the water—you will automatically fail the level.

However, you can still pick up your hat if it falls on the ground, which happens when it collides with a block. Depending on the player, this can be quite annoying. This title requires a degree of timing, as incorrectly timed jumps often lead to your doom. Furthermore, you can consider unlocking all awards or collecting missed coins to make the most out of the game.

A platforming title that makes you think

Don’t let the cute graphics fool you as platforming in The Top Hat Club can be a challenging feat. With crumbling blocks and bodies of water present in levels, players are expected to plan their moves and execute them with speed, precision, and timing. The top hat is also integral to level completion, for without it, you won’t be able to enter the club.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
